Cultural Responsiveness Facilitation

The Need
Elevate Impact was brought in as a partner to staff and deliver Boston Medical Center’s (BMC) workshops on Cultural Responsiveness.
BMC requested a team of facilitators that represented diverse backgrounds and were able to work onsite, independently, navigating challenging conversations and the evolving needs of the project. Although the initial curriculum and content was provided by BMC, various iterations were informed by Elevate Impact.
Our Impact
- Provided expert facilitators with a background in DE&I, People & Culture, and Education.
- Partnered with BMC to successfully manage the logistics of the project, including staffing three shifts with workshops that ran from 7:30am-2pm; 3pm-10:00pm; and 10:30pm-3am.
- Provided BMC with real-time feedback and input to enhance the curriculum.
Career Essentials Workshop Series

The Need
Elevate Impact was engaged to create an outline for a presentation deck designed to support a six-part workshop series on career growth at Boston Medical Center (BMC).
The outline covered six key topic areas: Career Development, Professional Communication, Resume & Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing, Networking, and Managing Up. BMC utilized this content to conduct workshops aimed at mid-level professionals aspiring to leadership roles within the organization.

- Conducted comprehensive research to develop six detailed workshop outlines for Boston Medical Center, covering essential topics: Career Development, Professional Communication, Resume & Cover Letter Writing, Interviewing, Networking, and Managing Up.
- Tailored content to meet the specific needs of BMC’s workforce, focusing on actionable strategies and best practices in each of the six areas to enhance career progression and professional skills.
- Integrated interactive elements and real-world examples into each workshop outline to ensure active participation and practical application of concepts.
- Utilized feedback from BMC stakeholders to refine and adapt the workshop content, ensuring relevance and impact for participants aiming for leadership and advancement within the organization.
Implicit Bias Awareness for the Leadership Team

The Need
Elevate Impact was tasked with designing and facilitating a 45-minute workshop for the leadership team to support an Implicit Bias Awareness presentation.
This workshop was part of the search committee’s activities for hiring chair positions at BMC and the Boston University (BU) School of Medicine.
Our Impact
- Develop and deliver engaging, executive-level content with interactive elements and real-life scenarios, tailored to key learning objectives, and adaptable based on feedback.
- Facilitate the workshop with a senior-level Elevate Impact facilitator specialized in DE&I and healthcare, ensuring an engaging, thought-provoking, and open learning environment.
- Provide leave-behind materials, including pre-read slides on implicit bias in hiring and a document summarizing various types of bias, with actionable steps for executives.
